Tri-Valley University, Home of School President Raided by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents

On January 21, 2011, Dozens of federal immigration agents raided the offices of several administrators at Tri-Valley University, located in Pleasanton, California.
Agents from the immigration and customs enforcement of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said the raids were an ongoing criminal investigation into the private school and its administration.
Agents also raided the home of the university’s president and founder Susan Su and she was taken into federal custody.
An agent from Homeland Security’s San Francisco office reported that the raid began Wednesday afternoon and included three other properties connected to the school.
According to the school’s website, Tri-Valley University is a Christian school located in Pleasanton, Calif. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in fields such as medicine, engineering and law.
As of Wednesday, the university is not in operation.
Many of the university’s foreign students have also been questioned by federal agents and many have been placed into removal / deportation proceedings.
